Description
MAX SEAL is a single component coating that can be brush, roll coater, or spray applied. When applied on porous material such as wood or concrete, the coating it will be tack free in less than 30 minutes and subsequent coats can be applied without further surface preparations. Upon cure the layers will cure to a unitize coating that will not peel between layers. Some surface preparation may be needed if coating is applied between long intervals.
The cure time is highly depending on ambient moisture or temperature.
MAX SEAL was formulated to comply with the new stringent air quality management laws for new coating applications. MAX SEAL exceeds the requirements of reportable volatile organic compound (VOC) to district air quality management agency, which makes it an excellent material for almost all types of industrial, commercial and architectural applications.
MAX SEAL pass or exceed all Federal, State, County and Municipal Air Quality management regulations (AQMD), especially SCQAMD, which is has the strictest air quality regulations.
MAX SEAL exhibits high luster and gloss clear finish that is stain resistant to most materials such wine, iodine, paints, markers and other staining products. As an anti-graffiti coating, MAX SEAL can be directly applied on most materials and upon cure, graffiti can be easily cleaned by graffiti removal solvents such as acetone, NMP or other non-chlorinated solvents without damaging the coating.
MAX SEAL is none-yellowing and inherently abrasion resistant.
MAX SEAL also demonstrates excellent adhesion to almost materials even ‘tough to bond to surfaces’ such polyethylene, polypropylene and other low surface tension substrates with minimal surface preparation.
MAX SEAL can also be used as a clear rust proofing coating for metals such as steel, copper, brass and other soft metals that are susceptible to corrosion and oxidation.
Apply MAX SEAL by brush, dip, roller, HVLP spray or airbrush. It has a very low viscosity making it suitable for coating intricate and high detailed patterns. Apply several thin coatings of MAX SEAL, allowing about 10 minutes before recoating. No sanding is needed in between coats. MAX SEAL will dry to the touch in less than 1 hour under normal ambient conditions but can be snap cured using forced air or convection drying ovens.
The exceptional toughness, flexibility and high luster finish makes MAX SEAL an ideal topcoat for wood and metal coatings projects. It demonstrates minimal “flash rusting” when applied directly on unprimed steel and excellent weather resistant and top coat protective properties on primed surfaces. Long-term outdoor exposure test of MAX SEAL coatings demonstrates excellent color stability and chalking resistance. It also exhibits water and common household cleaners and chemical resistance and can be further buffed to a mirror like finish using wax or polish.
Excellent for Protecting Substrates from UV Damage and Mechanical Abrasion
